Mr C was an orthopaedic surgeon who had been working as a
consultant in the NHS for 22 years and wanted to investigate giving
up his NHS position and to work solely in the independent
sector.
Mr J was a consultant gynaecologist working in the NHS. He had
become disillusioned with his work at the Trust in comparison with
the experience in private practice at his local Ramsay hospital and
therefore was considering giving up his position with the
Trust.
Mrs W was a consultant podiatric surgeon working in the NHS. She
felt some of her clinicaldecisions were becoming compromised in her
NHS role and she also wanted a better work/life balance.
Mr A was an orthopaedic consultant working in the NHS and had
existing private practices with Ramsay and another private
provider. Following a number of management decisions at the Trust
he decided the time was right to give up his NHS practice.
